Falling trees and heavy rain have disrupted vehicles on the Upper Calder Valley Road near Burnley this week.
Drivers in both directions were brought to a stand-still when blocked drains overflowed and spilled out on to the road's surface.
Motorists also found themselves delayed due to 50mph+ winds, which caused trees and branches to crash on to the road.
The Police and local council were both quick to the scene to clear the debris so that traffic could move again.
Delays were cleared by lunch time of the same day.
