A runaway bird brought rush-hour traffic to a stand-still in Blackburn last week after it escaped from its pen.
The rhea, which is similar to an ostrich, escaped from a farm and took flight towards Blackburn city centre.
Police were alerted and managed to bundle the flightless bird into the back of a trailer.
Mr Greenwood, owner of the rhea, said: “She must have been spooked. She’s ok now except for some slight grazes.”
